McDonald’s partnered with a global ad agency to create an innovative to-go packaging for its consumers on bicycles. The concept, named the McBike, is designed to carry a drink, a burger, and fries, while hanging off the handlebars of the bicycle. When opened, the package unfolds into two compartments, one holding the fries and the other holding the burger. The drink hangs at the bottom of the package through a hole at the bottom.
The concept was executed in Copenhagen and Medellin, Colombia as part of an ad campaign for the global fast-food chain in an effort to reach millennials and global communities that rely heavily on bicycling as a form of transportation.
