Businessweek.com Gets A Facelift and Aims Itself at a New Demographic

Two years after Bloomberg LP purchased Businessweek and gave it a less stuffy, more contemporary look and feel, creative director Richard Turley does the same for the website and relaunches it as of February 28, 2012.  President of Businessweek Paul Bascobert explained, “Businessweek wants to be the brand for the new breed of business leader, who is much more global-minded, more curious abut the world.”  And what that seems to translate into directly is that this will be the Businessweek.com for the young, entrepreneurial, universally-aware businessmen and businesswomen of today, instead of the crusty, dust-covered, buttoned down financial stereotypes traditionally associated with the topic of “business.”  Additionally, Bloomberg aims to use the new website to drive more traffic to their own website with numerous plugs and links throughout.
