In an age of gross maximalism, advertising agency DLKW Lowe reminds us that less really is more. To advertise Legoland Minibreaks, its resort packages, new hotel and that kids get in free, the agency installed tiny Lego billboards throughout London, shared a Google map with their locations and invited people to tweet a photo of them with a #legolandminibreaks when discovered. A+ for a creative and cost effective campaign utilizing social media to do all the hard work.

It didn’t take long for me to become completely obsessed with Instagram the very moment I uploaded my first photo. If you haven’t used it yet, think of it as Flickr meets Twitter. They’ve reinvented how we share photos with our family and friends, making it easy to upload to Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr.

I’ve found that everyone, including myself, have started to pay more attention to the details. Thanks to camera phones, we’ve become more aware of the world around us; we’re paying more attention to the sky, the walls, the corners of the room, the gutters, and everyones day to day living.

I follow a lot of Instagram accounts, so it was hard to choose, but below are my current picks for the top 5 Instagram users to follow.

@charmaineolivia
Get an inside look into the studio and personal life of San Francisco based fine artist Charmaine Olivia.

@edroste
Travel the world with Grizzly Bear lead singer Ed Droste!

Mark Weaver is a graphic designer and illustrator based in New York. His photos are beautiful and nostalgic, and every now and then he throws in an “awww”-dorable photo of his daughter, Olive.

You can always expect the unexpected when Tim Burton is involved. Today, Warner Bros. released the character posters for the new vampire comedy Dark Shadows.

Vampires are pale, yes, but their personalities in this colorful journey of love, gothic horror, and witchcraft, are summed up perfectly in each poster below.

In the year 1752, Joshua and Naomi Collins, with young son Barnabas, set sail from Liverpool, England to start a new life in America. But even an ocean was not enough to escape the mysterious curse that has plagued their family. Two decades pass and Barnabas (Johnny Depp) has the world at his feet-or at least the town of Collinsport, Maine. The master of Collinwood Manor, Barnabas is rich, powerful and an inveterate playboy…

…until he makes the grave mistake of breaking the heart of Angelique Bouchard (Eva Green). A witch, in every sense of the word, Angelique dooms him to a fate worse than death: turning him into a vampire, and then burying him alive. Two centuries later, Barnabas is inadvertently freed from his tomb and emerges into the very changed world of 1972. He returns to Collinwood Manor to find that his once-grand estate has fallen into ruin. The dysfunctional remnants of the Collins family have fared little better, each harboring their own dark secrets. Matriarch Elizabeth Collins Stoddard (Michelle Pfeiffer) has called upon live-in psychiatrist, Dr. Julia Hoffman (Helena Bonham Carter), to help with her family troubles.

There is nothing pretentious about this beautifully produced publication. Although published in Spain, this magazine is written entirely in English.
Finally something for the sports intellectual in your family. Time.com, Time magazine’s companion website, kicks off March Madness with its first sports blog, Keeping Score. Unlike other online sports destinations and in true Time style, Keeping Score won’t smell of buffalo wings and beer or yell at the TV unexpectedly, rather Keeping Score will highlight sports around the world, their cultural, economic and political impact. With any luck, this fresh approach to the discussion of sports could actually win over a few new fans and expand the scope of the topic beyond scores and who fumbled what.

Check out Keeping Score here.
